SERVICES
Civil Infrastructure
Our roadway reconstruction and municipal infrastructure installation specialist (water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and lift station packages) have tackled complex heavy civil infrastructure projects across southern New Brunswick since 1961. Our large fleet of trucks also feeds our projects efficiently to place our granular backfill materials from our quarries and gravel pits to keep the projects moving forward in a timely manner.

Demolitions
We have the expertise and resources to handle the demolition of building damaged by fire as well as condemned buildings. Our readily available of fleet excavators are equipped with concrete crushers, breakers, metal sheers and other necessary tools to complete the project safely and efficiently. Galbraith Construction Ltd. operates a provincially licensed construction and demolition (C&D) debris disposal site. We also recycle and reprocess excavated materials from job sites into usable aggregate or clean fill.
Snow Removal
Galbraith Construction Ltd. offers a variety of snow management services and is prepared and well equipped to manage all your snow removal needs. We offer snow plowing and hauling / removal services as well as salting and sanding for parking lot, roadways and industrial sites in the Saint John Area. Our facilities are located within the city limits and are stocked with ample supply of abrasive road sand and salt. We also office snow shoveling services for commercial and industrial sites.
Concrete Work
In 2017, Galbraith Construction entered the concrete market to offer concrete curb, sidewalks, walkaways, and slabs for it’s commercial and municipal clients. Our team is fully equipped with a concrete curb machine with several different concrete mold types (Barrier Curb, Curb and Gutter, Butterfly Curb and Sidewalk). We have a team of skilled professionals that are ready to provide you with quality concrete services for projects of any size. Additionally, we have completed numerous concrete encasement projects for underground utilities for electrical duct banks and roadway lighting systems.
Equipment Rentals
We are a readily equipped heavy civil contractors with all the necessary tools for projects of any size. Our fleet of new well maintained heavy equipment is unmatched in the local industry.
We offer the following equipment for rental: Excavators (3 tonne - 40 tonne) along with hydraulic rock breakers for each size machine. A variety of dozer, soil compactors, wheeled loaders and graders. Additionally, we have an extensive fleet of tandem dump trucks and tractor trailers available to hit the jobs site, and multiple heavy spec trucks for Floating (Step decks and highboy tractor trailers). Our trucking fleet also includes two tandem boom trucks for lifting projects.
Our equipment and trucks are upgraded regularly and are equipped with the latest emission control technologies, which greatly reduce the toxins released from the operation of diesel engines in comparison with older models.
Aggregate Supply
Galbraith Construction Ltd. operates seven provincially licensed pits and quarries in Southern New Brunswick. All refined aggregates are produced to New Brunswick Department of Transportation specifications and are externally tested for Quality Assurance during production.
Quarried materials are primarily manufactured from Spruce Lake Quarry and offer a wide range of granular materials. Our materials are manufactured to NBDTI Specification including the following items: Shot Rock (Rock Fill), 1/4” minus sand, various clear stones (1/2”, 5/8” and 1”), 0-19mm Crushed Rock Base (3/4” Minus), 0-31.5mm Crushed Rock Base (1-1/4” Minus), 0-75mm Crushed Rock Subbase (3” Minus), Filter Stone, Rip Rap (R-5 to R-250) and Armour Stone of various sizes.
Our various gravel pits across southern New Brunswick have a variety of materials produced to meet NBDTI Specification. Galbraith Construction screens and manufactures many different types of materials at their gravel pits including the following: 0-31.5mm Crushed Gravel Base (1-1/4” Minus), pit run gravel, screened sand, abrasive sand, round drainage stone, screened topsoil and marine clay/ capping materials.

Asphalt Supply
Galbraith’s Leadership team purchased and constructed a new modern asphalt plant in Lorneville during the winter of 2018, the asphalt plant is fed by materials crushed by our own equipment and staff at Spruce Lake Rock Quarry. We provide high quality Hot Mix and Warm Mix asphalt pavements to local municipality, provincial government and local contractors as well are supply our our crews. Asphalt mixes are available with and without recycled asphalt pavement incorporated. Galbraith’s staff are consistently exploring methods and industry advancements to produce a better preforming asphalt mixture in order to provide our clients with a superior asphalt pavement. Our asphalt pavement in continually testing to provide better durability and performance. We offer the following mixtures: NBDTI Type B (WMA-B or HRB), NBDTI Type C (WMA-C or HRC), NBDTI Type D (WMA-D or HRD) and NBDTI Type E (Sand Seal).
Additionally, we offer both screened and unscreened recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) to our clients.

By doing so, we are able to take advantage of company owned infrastructure such as our 40,000 square foot maintenance and repair shop, a provincially licensed construction and demolition (C&D) waste disposal site, and licensed rock quarries and gravel pits.
